TLP give thanks for 2016's Good News stories


This morning (22.12.16), 13 local church representatives crammed into a small room at the weekly Thurrock Leaders Prayer (TLP) gathering.

They gave thanks to God for these and other GOOD NEWS STORIES in 2016...

  • Thurrock Pentecost on 14 May at which 20 local fellowships made a Declaration of Unity
  • Transformation Thurrock becoming a charity
  • monthly interchurch outreach in Grays High Street
  • Christians Against Poverty (CAP) in Thurrock
  • TLP 221216Open The Book primary schools' project
  • TLP continuing to be a relationally uniting entity bringing blessing to the borough
  • Thurrock Foodbank across the church
  • seeing homeless getting housed + project initiated to further this
  • Alpha courses across the borough
  • Community Church Healing Room being started in Chadwell
  • Lunch Club for kids during holidays
  • Gateway People's Centre cafe & art club in Stanford
  • Holiday clubs esp. North Grays churches working together
  • Burkina Faso links with Thurrock
  • Christmas handouts at East Tilbury station last week
  • carol singing outside the Co Op at Lodge Lane Parade the other night
  • links to Global Legacy monthly gatherings for regional leaders at Eastgate Church in Ebbsfleet and consequent positive influence, training and encouragement
  • Thames Gateway Prayernet and regional cross-denominational prayer on the land
  • Salvation Army breakfasts for homeless and lonely, and Christmas lunch

... and lots of other great stuff and tales of individual life-changing encounters with the Living God.
